Startups, mid-size, and Fortune 500 companies hire me when they need big ideas, innovative designs, and exceptional user experiences - fast.

The TLDR

I bring expert product and design thinking paired with precise execution, tailored for your company’s vision, needs, and resources. Design, product, engineering - I’ve lived and breathed all three disciplines.

Design & Leadership
Over the past five years, I’ve worked as a product leader and strategist, focused on building and leading great products and teams. Directing product at Ginger.io, leading experience design at Samsung R&D, and lately directing design for Teladoc / Livongo’s all-new mental health app.

Product & Experience
Before leading and growing teams, I honed my craft making exceptional product experiences from the ground up. Combining engineering and design skillsets, my goal during this time was execution at premium levels. I co-founded a proper Silicon Valley Tech startup after years running a boutique iOS product shop.

Engineering
The first decade of my career focused on creating art. Building websites. Designing for agencies. Building iOS apps. Running my own boutique iOS shop. I cut my teeth as a UX designer and production engineer, getting my start in mobile apps through jailbroken iPhones.

Why hire me?

You probably know hard it is to find talented people that are easy to work with and driven to succeed. To hire and retain the DNA to build incredible products and inspire teams to do their best work. To capture the people that get scooped up by Google, Apple, Facebook, Netflix, etc. At the risk of sounding a bit over-confident, I consider myself one of those people.

Great news, though, I’ll work for you instead of them.

You might be wondering why I’ve turned down offers from some of the biggest names in tech. In the end, it’s pretty simple: I like the freedom to choose my products, teams, and values. I'm passionate about my work and creating impact for companies that are making a difference. That ends up working out really well for my clients, because they get great product and design DNA in the competitive financial landscape of FAANG companies.

Yea, I look young for having been in tech for 20 years.

Yea, I look young for having been in tech for 20 years.

But how can you trust that I'm good?

I hear you. It's a risk. I've built my own teams and often help companies build theirs, so I've been in your shoes. Most of my work is strictly NDA'd, making it a challenge to reassure you. That said, I've also seen companies spend a year looking to hire a great product person while their product stalls and dies.

I’m not a replacement for hiring - you’ll still need a fantastic product team. Fortunately, I can help you build that team, vet your candidates, and institute processes to ensure your product is making huge gains while you’re hiring.

Who has trusted me in the past?

Samsung, Google, JUUL, Livongo, Behance, IBM, and The BBC. I'm from the MIT Media Lab, a founder, a former Director, and I've been doing this for 20 years - when the web ran on Cold Fusion and prayers and mobile wasn't even a technology term.

Recently, I created and designed one of the flagship features for the new Samsung S20 called "Single Take," having led a team at Samsung R&D and worked directly with the Samsung's E-team. My designs were presented directly to the CEO.

Previously, I led and designed the entire Ginger.io product, growing it from 0 users to providing mental health to companies like Yelp, Pinterest, Buzzfeed and more.

Additionally, I led design for Livongo to reinvigorate their behavioral health offering, having been newly acquired by Teladoc for $18B.

Trying to change the world and have a challenge for me? I’d love to chat.
